Amie Higgins
Amie is a Senior Public Law and Immigration Solicitor specialising in all aspects of Asylum and Human Rights Law and is accredited as a Supervisor and Advanced Caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme (IAAS). She is a Senior Solicitor and Director at Ask a Barrister.
Amie was called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2005 and cross qualified as a Solicitor in 2008. Having started her career in a high street firm in South Yorkshire, Amie then went on to establish her own niche Immigration & Human Rights firm in 2012. As a specialist renowned for her work with survivors of trafficking and modern slavery, Amie resigned from her role as Director in 2018 and has since worked as a Public Law & Immigration Solicitor & Training Lead on a freelance basis.
